Roo the bouncing puppy

Occasionally our staff come across an animal in need that just cries out for love and care.

This was the case one day last week.  One of our veterinary nurses had accompanied Jamie Allen on a trip to Cardiff Dogs Home.  There they found an approximately 10 week old puppy with badly misshapen front legs in an emaciated state.  She had been brought to Cardiff Dogs Home by a concerned member of the public who had found her in a local park.

The puppy is being fed every two hours by our nurse Ceri to try to get her weight up to normal.  Her legs have been splinted to allow her to move around more freely and she will be undergoing x-rays and tests shortly.

Unhampered by her splints the puppy is bounding around full of life and fun.  Our Australian vet, Jamie,  came up with a name for her instantly, and Roo she will be until she is well enough to be rehomed and named by her new family.
