SOX
Sox is a beautiful Boxer aged 6 and a half years old.
One evening Sox was having cuddles from her owner Anna when she felt a lump on her neck. She removed Sox collar and scratching under her chin found the lump was more pronounced. The lump quickly grew bigger.
Anna was now concerned and brought Sox in to see Jamie Allen, the owner of the Summerhill group of surgeries. The lump was biopsied using a non-invasive procedure and a diagnosis of thyroid cancer was made. The offending mass was then surgically removed by the Summerview team.
Sox is now attending Summerview for her four sessions of chemotherapy and taking it all in her stride. She wanders around the surgery with a cheery wag of her tail for everyone and although a little tired as a result of her treatment she does not really seem to be affected by her illness. All the staff at Summerview love Sox appointments as she enjoys her cuddles and all the fuss that they make of her.
Sox owner Anna is delighted with her progress and relieved that all Sox treatment is covered by her insurance policy.
UPDATE
Sox has now finshed her 4months of chemotherapy, and is her happy playful self again. She has coped well with the monthly chemo injections and has had regular blood tests to ensure things are going well.
