NURSE CLINICS

At Summerview our nurses are always happy to assist with your pet's needs. As well as giving medication, clipping nails / teeth and removing ticks here are a few clinics held by our nurses:-

Puppy Parties (MONDAY EVENINGS 6:15pm - 7:00pm)

Socialisation is a critical part of a puppy's development. On a Monday evening it is a great opportunity for pups between 8 and 14 weeks to familiarise themselves with the surgery's smells and sounds as well as each other. Our head nurse Sarah will also give advice on the best worming regime, flea treatment, nutrition and basic health care.

"Weigh - In" Clinic

Sadly, as more pets become over weight, we see more health problems such as diabetes, arthritis and heart disease. Weigh - In clinics provide the opportunity to create a weight loss plan for your pet. Our nurse will also give advice on exercise and provide follow up appointments to help sustain weight loss.

"Bunny" Clinics

Rabbits make excellent pets although they do have specific requirements. Our veterinary nurse can give advice on housing, healthcare, diet and exercise, neutering, vaccinations and how to look out for Flystrike, a distressing disease which can be easily avoided with proper care and attention!

Kitten and Puppy Neutering Clinics

These clinics provide a chance for us to check the growth and progress of your puppy or kitten. Our nurse can advise on training, social behaviour, the change in worming management, flea control and will also give you advice on neutering.

Dental Clinic

By checking your pet's mouth regularly, we can identify dental problems early. Pets, like humans can suffer discomfort and pain when it comes to teeth. Our nurse will show you the best way to look after your pet's teeth through cleaning and diet which will help to prevent a build-up of tartar, which may lead to gingivitis and loss of teeth.

Please call for an appointment to attend any of our nurse clinics.
